Slack is a leading workplace productivity tool, helping your company communicate in real-time. Integrate Tackle with Slack to receive Tackle notifications directly in your Slack channels every time an order is created, renewed, modified, registered or cancelled.

Installing the Tackle - Slack integration

  1. Sign in to Slack, then create a new Slack channelπŸ”— where you want Tackle notifications to appear and choose a name for that channel (for example, #marketplace-alerts).

  2. Go to Slack appsπŸ”— and create a new app. Enter a name for your app (for example, Tackle Notifications), and include the name of your workspace where you want the notifications sent.

  3. Once the app is created, go to the Add features and functionality section. Select Incoming Webhooks, and set the Activate Incoming Webhooks toggle to On.

  4. Select Add New Webhook to Workspace and choose the Slack channel you created above.

  5. Under Webhook URLs for your Workspace, copy the Slack Webhook URL you just added.

  6. Sign in to Tackle and click Integrations in the left menu, then click Slack.

To complete your Tackle - Slack integration, paste the webhook URL from your new Slack app into Tackle, in the Slack Webhook URL field.

  7. In the Slack Webhook URL field, paste the webhook URL you just copied from Slack.

  8. Click Test configuration to send a test notification. Check the Slack channel you created in step 1 of this article to see your test notification and make sure everything is working correctly.

  9. Click Save changes to enable the integration.

That's it! You've successfully installed the Tackle - Slack integration. Now, whenever you have an update to one of your marketplace orders managed through Tackle, you'll automatically receive a notification in Slack. Next, invite anyone on your team who needs these notifications to your Slack channel so you can start working together.
