Change Salesforce Opportunities linked to co-sell records

Easily update Salesforce Opportunities linked to your co-sells from Salesforce.

Changing links is useful for when the original Salesforce Opportunity associated with a co-sell no longer meets required criteria, or you simply need to link a co-sell to a new Opportunity to keep your Salesforce and cloud marketplace records in sync in real time.

Note

  • This is currently available for AWS Marketplace and Microsoft commercial marketplace only.

  • If you're migrating to the new Tackle for Salesforce experience, we highly recommend you use this linking capability to update your co-sells as needed for a smoother transition. Learn more about bulk linking.

Change a linked Salesforce Opportunity in an AWS co-sell

  1. In Salesforce, go to Opportunities and click the opportunity you want to update.

  2. In the Tackle for Salesforce view, click the Co-Sell tab and then click the AWS tab.

  3. Find the co-sell you want to view and click View co-sell.

  4. In the co-sell details, go to Related CRM Opportunity and click Change opportunity.
    Tip: You can click the currently linked CRM Opportunity ID to view details prior to changing it.


    The Change Opportunity menu opens to the linked opportunity.

  5. In the search bar, enter the name or ID of the new opportunity you want to link. Results will appear.

  6. Click Link next to the opportunity you want and then click Submit. After you submit, the menu will close and a green confirmation message will appear. Your co-sell details should now reflect your update.
    Note: Tackle automatically prompts a sync from Salesforce to ACE when the CRM Opportunity is linked or changed in an AWS co-sell.

Change a linked Salesforce Opportunity in a Microsoft co-sell

  1. In Salesforce, go to Opportunities and click the opportunity you want to update.

  2. In the Tackle for Salesforce view, click the Co-Sell tab and then click the Microsoft tab.

  3. Find the co-sell you want to view and click View co-sell.

  4. In the co-sell details, go to Related CRM Opportunity and click Change opportunity.
    Tip: You can click the currently linked CRM Opportunity ID to view details prior to changing it.

  5. In the search bar, enter the name or ID of the new opportunity you want to link. Results will appear.
