At Tackle, we want you to have a smooth experience managing your co-sell opportunities. Some fields are locked depending on their Review Status or Stage because AWS does not allow them to be changed. Here’s what you need to know to keep your data accurate and your process seamless.

Why Are Some Fields Locked?

AWS requires certain fields to remain unchanged after launch for compliance and reporting. Once your opportunity is launched, Tackle cannot update these fields, even if you contact support. If you need to change any of these after launch, you’ll need to create a new opportunity.

Editability by Review Status

  • Approved: All fields can be changed.

  • Pending Submission: All fields can be changed except Stage.

  • Action Required: Most fields can be changed, except the following:

    • Lifecycle fields

      • Stage

    • Customer fields

      • Industry vertical

    • Marketing fields

      • Opportunity source

      • Marketing campaign

      • Marketing activity use case

      • Marketing activity channel

      • Marketing development funds

  • Submitted, In Review, Rejected: Nothing can be changed.

Editability by Stage

  • Prospect, Qualified, Technical Validation, Business Validation, Committed: All fields can be changed.

  • Launched: Only Software Revenue fields can be modified, and only by SRRP vendors.

  • Closed Lost: Nothing can be changed.

  • Expected Customer Spend (amount, currency, frequency, target company)

Pro Tips

  • Review before launch: Double-check all your details before launching your opportunity.

  • Need to make a change after launch? You’ll need to create a new opportunity if a locked field needs to be updated.
