Problem

Your Salesforce - Tackle integration is experiencing connection-related problems, such as vendor IDs missing from co-sell opportunities.

Solution summary

Some connection problems can be fixed by resetting your Salesforce scratch organization's connection to Tackle.

Before you begin, you'll need the following account permissions:

Step 1: Disconnect Salesforce and Tackle

  1. Log in to your Salesforce instance and Go to the Tackle Setup Assistant in Salesforce.

TO find your Tackle assistant, search for Tackle Setup in your Salesforce apps.

  2. In the System Connections section, click Edit, then click Next..

  3. If your Tackle - Salesforce integration is currently connected, you'll see a green bar with a checkmark titled "Connected." Click Revoke.

The Revoke button is on the Connect to Salesforce tile, below the green "Connected" banner.

  4. A warning message appears. Click Confirm to revoke permission from Salesforce to access your Tackle account.

  5. Refresh your web browser window to return to the Tackle - Salesforce integration setup page. If you see an error banner during this step, it is safe to ignore.

You should be able to find your web browser's refresh button in the navigation bar, next to the "Back" and "Forward" buttons.

  6. Click Continue next to System Connections to return to the Connect to Tackle menu. Then, click Disconnect.

The Disconnect button is below the Client Id and Secret fields on your Connect to Tackle page.

  7. Another warning message appears. Click Confirm to fully disconnect your Tackle and Salesforce accounts.

Step 2: Reconnect Salesforce to Tackle

  1. Sign in to your Tackle account and use the left menu to navigate to Integrations > Salesforce _ Salesforce integration configurationπŸ”—. In the Connect to Salesforce section, copy your Client ID and Client Secret.

Use the copy buttons next to your Salesforce client ID and Salesforce client secret fields to copy each, then paste them in Salesforce.

  2. Return to your Salesforce account in the Connect to Tackle page and paste your Client ID and Client Secret values in the respective text boxes. When you're finished, click Connect.

Your Client ID and Secret fields are on the Connect to Tackle page you accessed in step 1 of this guide.

  3. Once the Connected banner turns green, click Next.

  4. Click Authorize to authorize your connection between Tackle and Salesforce. During this step, a pop up window may appear β€” if it does, click Allow.

  5. Once the Connected banner turns green, click Finish to return to your Tackle - Salesforce integration setup screen.

Now that you've successfully reconnected your Tackle and Salesforce accounts, you should see a green check mark next to System Connections indicating that the re-connection was successful.
