Tackle for Salesforce — AWS Reporting

Create reports in Salesforce using your Amazon Web Services marketplace (AWS) co-sell and offers data.

This guide outlines how to create reports on your AWS co-sell and offers data using Salesforce Report Types. Report Types are reports that show data from several different objects in Salesforce, and are selectable when building a new report. These reports will use the custom objects included in your Tackle for Salesforce app.

Report Type: Opportunities with and without Tackle AWS Co-sells

The Opportunities with and without Tackle AWS Co-sells Report Type is used to report on the following Salesforce objects:

  • Opportunity

  • Tackle AWS Co-sell Opportunity

  • Tackle AWS Co-sell Contact

Follow these steps to create your report:

  1. In Salesforce, click the App Launcher icon. Then, search for and select “Reports”.

    In the Salesforce app launcher, the user has searched for "Reports" and highlighted the search result labeled "Reports".

  2. In the Reports menu, click New Report. Then, in the Category column, click All.

  3. Search for and select “Opportunities with and without Tackle AWS Co-sells”.

    In the Create a Report menu, use the search bar to search for "Opportunities with and without AWS Co-sells", then select that report type and click Start Report.

  4. Click Start Report to begin building a new report for this Report Type.

  5. In the main reporting panel, click to show All Opportunities.

    The "all opportunities" link is the first bullet point in the report builder panel.

  6. Click Filters > Date > Created Date > All Time. When you’re finished, click Apply.

    Filter this to include records created on any date.

  7. Click Outline > Show all Fields, then click the Opportunities folder to expand it.

  8. In the Opportunities folder, drag each field you want to include in your report into the Columns section of the report builder.

    In this example, the user is adding the fields "Opportunity Name", "Stage", "# Amount", and "Close Date" to the report.

  9. Click the Tackle AWS Co-sell Opportunities to expand it. Then drag each field you want to include in your report into the Columns section of the report builder.

    In this example, the user is adding the fields "Lifecycle Stage", "Target Close Date", "# Expected Customer Spend Amount", "Expected Customer Spend Currency", and "# Has Cloud Errors" to the report.

  10. Click the Tackle AWS Co-sell Contacts folder to expand it. Then drag each field you want to include in your report into the Columns section of the report builder.

    Note: The Tackle AWS Co-sell Contact Object stores contacts related to the Tackle AWS Co-sell. Contact types include:

    1. AWS Contacts

    2. Customer Contacts

    3. Sales Contacts

      In this example, the user is adding the fields "Business Title", "First Name", and "Last Name" to the report.

  11. Click Save to save your report, or follow the next steps to add a cross filter to your report to only show Opportunities with an AWS co-sell opportunity.

  1. In your report builder, click Filters, then select the drop down arrow.

    Add a new filter to the previous report to filter on the secondary object "Tackle AWS Co-sell Opportunities".

  2. Click Cross Filter > Opportunities > With > Tackle AWS Co-sell Opportunities. Then click Apply.

  3. Click Save, then click Update the Report Name > Select Folder. Click Public Reports if you would like to share the report, or Private Reports to limit access. When you’re finished, click Save.

    Follow these steps to save your report. You can choose to share your report publicly or keep it private to limit access.

Report Type: Tackle AWS Co-sell Invitations

The Opportunities With and Without Tackle AWS Co-sells Report Type is used to report on the following Salesforce objects:

  • Tackle AWS Co-sell Invitation

Follow these steps to create your report:

  1. In Salesforce, click the App Launcher icon. Then, search for and select “Reports”.

    In the Salesforce app launcher, the user has searched for "Reports" and highlighted the search result labeled "Reports".

  2. In the Reports menu, click New Report. Then, in the Category column, click All.

  3. Search for and select “Tackle AWS Co-sell Invitation”.

    In the Create a Report menu, use the search bar to search for "Opportunities with and without AWS Co-sell Invitations", then select that report type and click Start Report.

  4. Click Start Report to begin building a new report for this Report Type.

  5. In the main reporting panel, click to show All Opportunities.

  6. Click Filters > Date > Created Date > All Time. When you’re finished, click Apply.

    The "all opportunities" link is the first bullet point in the report builder panel.

  7. Click Outline > Fields, then click the Tackle AWS Co-sell Invitation folder to expand it.

  8. In the Tackle AWS Co-sell Invitation folder, drag each field you want to include in your report into the Columns section of the report builder.

    In this report, the user has included the fields "Name", "Expiration Date", "Status", and "Target Completion Date".

  9. Click Save, then click Update the Report Name > Select Folder. Click Public Reports if you would like to share the report, or Private Reports to limit access. When you’re finished, click Save.

    Follow these steps to save your report. You can choose to share your report publicly or keep it private to limit access.

AWS offers reports in Salesforce

Report Type: Opportunities with and without Tackle AWS Offers

The Opportunities With and Without Tackle AWS Offers Report Type is used to report on the following Salesforce objects:

  • Opportunity

  • Tackle AWS Offers

Follow these steps to create your report:

  1. In Salesforce, click the App Launcher icon. Then, search for and select “Reports”.

  3. Search for and select “Opportunities with and without Tackle AWS Offers”.

    In the Create a Report menu, use the search bar to search for "Opportunities with and without AWS Co-sell Invitations", then select that report type and click Start Report.

  4. Click Start Report to begin building a new report for this Report Type.

  5. In the main reporting panel, click to show All Opportunities.

  9. Click the Tackle AWS Offers folder to expand it, then drag each field you want to include in your report into the Columns section of the report builder.

  10. Click Save to save your report, or follow the next steps to add a cross filter to your report to only show Opportunities with an AWS offer attached.

  1. In your report builder, click Filters, then select the drop down arrow.
