Create AWS direct offers

You can either send it directly to the marketplace portal and your buyer, or send it to Tackle for review by your Marketplace team where it can then be edited and sent to the marketplace portal and to your buyer.

To create a direct private offer for AWS:

  1. In Salesforce, go to the navigation bar and click Opportunities. A list of opportunities opens.

  3. Click Create Offer.
A Create Offer pop-up form opens.

  4. Select a listing and an offer type (if applicable), and then click Next.
Note: Your listing election defines the form and information required to create an offer for the specific marketplace you select. If your company has one marketplace listing and one offer type, you can skip this item using the field mapper settings.

  5. Tackle will search the AWS Marketplace to determine if you have any active contracts for the listing and AWS Account Number provided. If any contracts are found, you can choose to create an amended offer (or agreement based offer, ABO). To amend, click the Amend button and follow the instructions. If no agreements exist, or if you want to create a new future dated agreement (FDA) offer that starts after the end of your existing agreement, create your direct offer. To create, click the Create Direct Offer button.
Note: AWS currently only allows buyers to have one contract with an active term for the same listing. If they have an existing contract, any new offers must either be amendments (ABOs) that modify the existing contract or be an future dated agreement that has a term outside of the current contract.

  6. Complete each section in the form. Each section in the form requires that you enter specific information for your buyer and the offer.
