Create a direct private offer for Microsoft commercial marketplace in Salesforce and send it to the Tackle Platform for review before sending it to the marketplace including custom pricing, packaging, terms, and conditions to extend to your buyer.
To create a direct private offer for Microsoft:
In Salesforce, go to the navigation bar and click Opportunities.A list of opportunities opens.
Click the opportunity you want to use to create the offer. The selected opportunity opens.
Click Create Offer. A Create Offer pop-up form opens.
Select a listing and an offer type (if applicable), and then click Next.
Note: Your listing election defines the form and information required to create an offer for the specific marketplace you select. If your company has one marketplace listing and one offer type, you can skip this item using the field mapper settings.
Complete each section in the form. Each section in the form requires that you enter specific information for your buyer and the offer.
Tip: You can manually enter information, or pre-fill the form by mapping it to your Salesforce fields through the Map Data step in Setup assistant. If you decide to pre-fill the information, you can edit the information at a later time.
Form sections:Direct offer details: Enter the Tenant ID, Billing Account ID, and Offer Expiration Date.
Buyer Details: Select a buyer from your account’s contacts.
Pricing: Enter pricing based on the listing selected. Each marketplace has different terms and pricing. Learn more about pricing for Microsoft private offers.
Select Pricing on Offer Email as needed.
Contract Details: Set the dates for this pricing that will be available to your buyer for their subscription.
Terms and conditions: Upload additional documents for your offer. This can include terms and conditions that your buyer will be required to accept. Limited to one document. PDF files only, and no larger than 3 MB.
Notify User: Search or enter the names of stakeholders you want to inform about this offer. You can include people in or outside your company. Added email addresses will receive an email notification with details about the offer, including once it’s accepted. Notifications do not include communications sent to the buyer(s).
When you’re done completing the offer form, click Submit to Tackle. The Create Offer form and information is sent to Tackle.
Once the offer is successfully submitted, in the opportunity, you can search for the Tackle Offers list, and then click the offer to view details and track progress. You can also set up a side panel on the Opportunity layout to display your offer status and click to view offer details.
After, you can go to Tackle to track your offer or edit information in case it was submitted incorrectly through Salesforce.
Once the offer is accepted, you can track progress in Salesforce.
