Bookable artifacts give Tackle customers a contract receipt they can store alongside their internal sales and financial records. When a buyer purchases your product in AWS Marketplace, Tackle records the agreement details and generates a bookable artifact that combines marketplace agreement data with any registration and additional details the seller provided in Tackle.
What is a bookable artifact?
A bookable artifact is a contract receipt generated by Tackle when your product is purchased in AWS Marketplace. It includes:
Marketplace agreement data from AWS, such as agreement ID, offer ID, contract dates, pricing, and billing account information.
Product information, including product name, product ID, and product type (for example, SaaS or professional services).
Buyer registration details, such as buyer contact information, and seller-supplied additional contract details, including internal quote numbers and CRM links.
End user license agreement information, including the EULA version and, where applicable, links or identifiers for the governing agreement.
How bookable artifacts are delivered
Bookable artifacts are available in two formats:
Email notifications sent by Tackle.
Downloadable PDF files accessible from Tackle. These PDFs capture a snapshot of the agreement data available at the time of booking.
When Tackle sends bookable artifact notifications
Tackle sends email notifications to your configured order notification email address when specific contract events occur. You can manage this email address in your Tackle account settings.
Events that generate an email
For both public and private offers in AWS Marketplace, Tackle sends a bookable artifact email when:
A buyer subscribes to a private offer and the cloud contract becomes active. For public offers, the notification may not include the buyer’s company name if it is not available at the time of subscription.
A buyer cancels the contract before the end date.
A contract reaches its end date and is not renewed.
A contract auto-renews and a new agreement is created for the renewal term.
A contract is amended and replaced with a new agreement.
Amended contract notifications
When a contract is amended and replaced with a new agreement, Tackle sends two emails:
An AWS cloud contract was amended email containing the original agreement details.
An AWS cloud contract is active email containing the new amended agreement details.
Downloading bookable artifacts as PDF
In addition to email notifications, you can download bookable artifacts as PDF files for accepted private offers.

Editing registration and additional details after acceptance
After a buyer accepts a private offer, you may need to update the seller-supplied metadata you included on the offer, such as buyer contacts, internal reference numbers, or other registration details. Tackle lets you update these fields and regenerate an up-to-date bookable artifact.
Marketplace data fields, including agreement ID, pricing, and contract dates, remain locked and cannot be edited in Tackle. Seller-supplied fields in the Registration and additional details section remain editable. To update these fields, see how to edit offers in Tackle.
After updating registration and additional details, you can download a refreshed PDF so your internal systems and records reflect the latest metadata.
