When you're working a Salesforce Opportunity, the Tackle widget helps you stay informed about existing AWS Marketplace agreements with your buyer. If any AWS agreements exist for the account identified on the Opportunity β across any product you have listed in AWS Marketplace β the Tackle widget alerts you before you create a new offer.
This helps you decide whether to amend an active contract or create a new, separate offer for your buyer.
Before you begin
Before you can view contract data in the Tackle widget, your account must meet the required setup prerequisites. For required setup steps and important details about data refresh timing, see Manage contracts for AWS Marketplace.
Contract alerts on Salesforce Opportunities
When you open the Tackle widget on a Salesforce Opportunity and no private offer has been created yet, the widget checks for existing AWS agreements associated with the buyer's account.
If agreements are found, the widget displays an alert showing the number of contracts that exist with the buyer. From the alert, you can:
Click Review contracts to view all AWS agreements between you and the buyer and decide whether to amend an existing active contract.
Click Create offer to create a new, separate offer for the buyer. This creates a new agreement between you and the buyer.
Review contracts
When you click Review contracts, the Tackle widget displays all AWS agreements between you and the buyer associated with the account on the Opportunity.
The view defaults to the Active filter, showing all active agreements. You can change the filter to view agreements in other statuses.
Each contract card displays key details including:
Field | What it means |
Status | The current state of the agreement: Active, Pending, Amended, Cancelled, or Ended. |
Product | The AWS listing that was purchased. |
Product type | The pricing model (for example, Contract + usage). |
Start date | The date the agreement begins. |
End date | The date the agreement ends. |
Total contract value | The total value of the contract. |
Disbursed | The gross and net amounts disbursed by AWS Marketplace for this contract. |
From each contract card, you can:
Click View contract to open the full contract details in Salesforce, where you can review agreement details, the payment schedule, invoices sent to the buyer, payments received from AWS, and any usage submitted to AWS. To learn more, see Manage contracts for AWS Marketplace.
Click Amend to create a new agreement-based offer that modifies the existing agreement. To learn more about amending offers, see AWS amended private offers.
View contracts from accepted offers
When a Salesforce Opportunity has an offer with an Offer accepted status, the Tackle widget displays a View contract button on the offer card.
Click View contract to open the full contract details page in Salesforce, where you can review agreement details, the payment schedule, invoices sent to the buyer, payments received from AWS, and any usage submitted to AWS. To learn more, see Manage contracts for AWS Marketplace.
