Associate Google Cloud MCPOs in Tackle
Important
Before you can associate an MCPO in Tackle, you must first create the reseller private offer plan in Google Cloud Producer Portal๐.
After you create your Google Cloud partner offer in the portal, associate it in Tackle. Also note that only single-use private offer plans are expected for tracking and booking in Tackle.
In Tackle, go to the left menu and click Offers.
Click Create offer and select Google. A Create offer menu opens.
โFor Offer type, select Partner, and then select Associate to an existing offer and click Continue. The associate offer form opens.
โEnter the company name for your buyer and reseller private offer plan ID generated by Google Cloud. Then click Enter offer details.
Review the offer form and enter as much detail as possible to match the offer in Google Cloud Marketplace.
When youโre done, click Save offer.
โ
While the offer is in review, you can view the offer details. If you need to make any edits, click the pencil icon and make any necessary updates.
After the buyer accepts, Tackle automatically moves the offer in Tackle to Accepted and you receive your new order notification and can book your MCPO deal. โ
How to use partner offer form sections to associate a Google Cloud MCPO
Each section in the Google Cloud partner offer form requires that you enter specific information to associate an offer. See each section to know what information you need and what you can skip for now:
Basic information
When creating a Google Cloud partner private offer, youโll need to enter key buyer and reseller information like billing subaccount IDs, the buyerโs company name and full name of the contact, and other offer details. All this to help ensure that the correct information is added to the Google Cloud Marketplace once the offer is created and is included in all bookable artifacts and email notifications for the transaction.
Billing subaccount ID โโ This is the billing account ID of the buyer, provided by the reseller.
Buyer details โโ Includes the buyerโs company, full name, email, and job title.
Email address is used to send cloud marketplace-specific purchase instructions to help your buyer accept their offer
Full name appears in the Tackle private offer and order notifications
Title is for your reference
โ
Offer details โโ Add other key offer details like offer name and description.
Offer name is typically a combination of the name of your company and the offer IDs or any other general description to help you easily identify the offer, like your quote number or opportunity ID. In some cases, the offer name is visible to your buyer.
Notes to reseller can be used to send any notes to the reseller as they review the private offer plan and build their offer for the end-buyer.
โ
Deal type โโ Select a type for Google Cloud to calculate your revenue share percentage according to their Vendor Net Revenue Schedule๐. Deal types:
New: Net-new business
Channel shift: Move from partner to partner to marketplace and workload is already in Google Cloud
Migration - new Google Cloud workload: Moves from on-prem or other cloud to Google Cloud Marketplace
Native renewal: Renewing on the marketplace
Product and listing
Select the listing you used for the partner offer and add the pricing and billing terms for the reseller private offer plan in Google Cloud. For an accurate Tackle order notification, enter as much information as possible to match what is entered on the offer in the Google Cloud Marketplace.
End-user license agreements (EULA)
Selecting or uploading an end-user license agreement is optional. You can select to add a standard Google Cloud EULA or a custom agreement. For custom contracts, upload up to five (5) PDF documents; Tackle will merge all the documents into one file. Files can be no larger than 4 MB combined.
Note
The reseller of this private offer plan will have the ability to view the configured EULA. This EULA will also be available to resold customers who receive private offers created from this plan.
Reseller agreement (optional)
You can upload a reseller agreement for your reseller. This is optional and not visible to the buyer.
Registration details (optional)
Complete any registration details that are configured for the Google Cloud listing you selected.
Tip
As a best practice, complete these registration fields now so your buyers donโt need to. This saves your buyers time and ensures you receive your New Order notification as soon as possible.
Additional fields (optional)
Add any additional custom fields and values for a complete bookable artifact youโll receive once your offer is accepted. Standard custom fields can be configured for each of your Google Cloud listings. Other optional fields include:
Marketplace fee โโ Enter a numerical value. This is the listing fee charged by the cloud marketplace and helps Tackle calculate the Net Contract Value on Tackle order notifications. The fee added here does not affect the fee in Google Cloud. โ
Offer validity period
Enter the acceptance deadline for your Google Cloud partner private offer. This is the latest date the partner has to accept or reject the private offer plan. You must also add a scheduled offer period with a start and end date between which the partner must create their private offer for the end buyer.
Offer point of contact
The offer point of contact is optional for partner offers. You can add the internal point of contact who prepared the offer or name of the person you want to share with the reseller. This is not visible to the buyer.
Tip
As a best practice, add the name of the account executive who worked with the reseller. If the reseller has any questions, they can reach out to the offer point of contact.
Notify users
Add the email address of any internal stakeholders that you want to receive email updates from Tackle on the status of the offer.
Tip
As a best practice, youโll want to add the account executive (AE) and an internal revenue operations email distribution to keep the AE in the know and include the entire Rev Ops team.
