March 2026

  • Password policy updates: Password requirements have been updated to align with current industry recommendations.

    • There are no password composition rules (no requirement for a certain number of upper-case or lower-case letters, numbers, or special characters).

    • There are no password rotation or password history requirements.

    • Passwords are checked against a set of breached passwords. If your password is breached, you will be required to set a new non-breached password.

    • Multi-factor authentication (MFA): The primary purpose is to prevent unauthorized access even if your password gets stolen. MFA is widely considered the single most effective step you can take to protect your online accounts.

  • Improved consolidated Microsoft connection process: New customers can connect their Tackle account to Microsoft (Marketplace and/or Co-sell) in just a few clicks with a streamlined connection process.

  • Support multiple active agreements per buyer with AWS Concurrent Agreements: When you have buyers who need multiple active agreements, AWS now allows multiple active agreements on a single SaaS listing. You can opt in through your AWS Marketplace Management Portal and manage all concurrent agreements directly in Tackle. Learn more about how to opt in.

  • View and manage all AWS agreements in one place with Contracts: You can now view and manage all current and historical AWS Marketplace agreements including partner contracts directly in Tackle. The new Contracts experience gives you a single, unified location to track agreement status, amendments, cancellations, and renewals. Learn more about managing contracts for AWS Marketplace.

  • Submit metered usage for AWS directly from Contracts: You can now submit metered usage for AWS products directly from the Contract detail screen in the Tackle Platform. Learn more about submitting usage metering to AWS.

  • Receive timely, status-driven email notifications for AWS contracts: When an AWS contract is created, amended, cancelled, or ended, you now receive email notifications triggered directly by the contract status change. Learn more about these bookable artifact emails.

  • Automate downstream workflows with enhanced AWS contract webhook events: When an AWS contract status changes, Tackle now sends cloud-sourced webhook events that include additional agreement details. Learn more about agreement webhook events.

  • Submit metering usage with additional identifiers using the updated Metering API: When submitting metering usage for AWS products, you can now use additional identifiers in your API requests. Learn more about the updated Metering API.
